New Survivor Handbook: How to Survive in "No, I'm not a Human"
This guide covers the world, core loop, key mechanics, and must‑know rules for beginners.
Welcome to a world scorched by the sun. Daytime is deadly; night brings new fears. If you're new, you may feel confused or overwhelmed. This guide provides the core knowledge you need—from basic flow to identifying visitors disguised as humans.
1. World: Why Is the Sun Lethal?
A global catastrophe has made daytime uninhabitable due to lethal solar flares. Survivors operate at night, but darkness is not safe either: "Visitors" emerge from underground and perfectly mimic humans to infiltrate shelters. Your house is your fortress, but isolation attracts other threats—you must balance trust and suspicion.
2. Core Loop: Day/Night Paranoia
Night: Knocks at the Door
Night is the busiest time. Desperate survivors knock seeking shelter. Observe them, talk briefly, and decide whether to let them in or refuse. Every choice can be life or death.
Day: Investigation and Preparation
Interact with guests living in your house and use limited resources to investigate them to uncover hidden visitors.
3. Key Survival Mechanics
Energy: Your Most Precious Resource
Each morning you wake with a few glowing bars—your energy. Most investigations consume one bar.
- Very limited: Typically only 2–3 bars per day.
- Spend wisely: Prioritize the most suspicious guests based on behavior and clues.
- Recovery: Coffee and energy drinks can restore energy but are scarce.
Identifying Visitors: The Art of Discernment
Daily TV/radio tips help identify visitors. Early signs include:
- Perfect teeth
- Dirty fingernails
- Bloodshot eyes
- Hairless armpits
⚠️ Important Warning
Never trust a single sign—always combine multiple clues.
Saving: Kombucha & Exit Save
- Kombucha: Manual saves consume rare Kombucha.
- Exit Save: Exiting creates a temporary save (overwritten next time).
Good Luck, Survivor
Your greatest enemy may not be monsters outside, but paranoia within. Stay alert, make choices—and survive.
